The perspective as an aspect of personality strength

The Perspective in the Origin of the Arabic Language
Perspective: The passive participle of "to look"
A man who is looked upon: One who is valued, considered, and cared for.
One whose affairs are considered: One who is given due consideration and attention.
Therefore, from the origin of the language, we understand that perspective is consideration, not merely looking. We all look well, praise be to God, but not all of us are capable of consideration or of having a perspective different from the majority. Whoever reads the Holy Quran and understands its authentic meanings must have their own perspective, a Quranic perspective that sees things, people, and events from a different viewpoint. As the righteous predecessors used to say: "O God, grant me a perspective of consideration, a thoughtful reflection, and a kind word that we spread among people." This is part of the perfection of your existence on Earth. Perhaps you have dealt with different cultures, perhaps you have dealt with people of different religions. Do not laugh, do not mock, do not belittle, but Have a different perspective and that's it. If you can convey it through writing, discussion, or listening to a short video, then all the better. If you cannot, for any reason, then you must transcend, not be arrogant, your own perspective, which you believe in as a knot tied in the heart. Scholars call it a creed, and we call it a different idea from many origins and more than one race of people. Let us now understand more about perspective from the point of view of Islam, and why it is one aspect of the strength of personality through psychology. So let's go...

The Reflections on the Noble Verses
The Noble Verses speak of many topics, but the goal is one: (seeing). And not seeing with the eyes, but with the heart. God Almighty says, "It is not the eyes that are blind, but the hearts which are in the breasts." And you are surely aware that the heart has a perspective—sometimes the perspective of the lover, sometimes the hater, sometimes the envious, sometimes the one who hates good for others, sometimes the one who truly trusts in God, and so on. The reason for this, as we all know, is that the heart contains a "little mind." This mind makes your feelings largely rational; they are not random feelings but are based on rational decisions. Now let's take the first verse: God Almighty says to me, to you, and to all of humanity, "Say, 'Travel through the land and observe.'" Note: Firstly, traveling through the land—journeying, traversing—even if you are online, seeing here and there, this is a journey through time. You see the past at times, and they show you some of what might happen in a few years to come. Most importantly: the word "observe" (fa-nazaru)—the "fa" indicates speed. So what is the meaning then? So, when you travel, make consideration, reflection, and analysis the forefront of your journey, whatever the reason for your travel—whether for study, work, or even tourism. You have another appointment with God, so don't look randomly at the beautiful things there and forget the bad. Rather, here, God Almighty specifies what He wants your heart to turn to: "How did He begin creation?" I hear you saying: Excuse me, I'm not a physicist and I don't really care about these matters. Yes, that's your right in life, but it's not up to you. It's a command, or rather two commands: 1- The command to travel the earth: not to live and die in the same country of origin unless you cannot leave your homeland for any reason. 2- So look: and we agree that the letter fa' in Arabic indicates speed. So, with travel comes the contemplation of the heart and the search for the reasons for the creation of this universe? I hear you again saying: "And what does this change in the events of my day? I just want to relax and feel positive emotions." And after feeling positive emotions, do you know why you are here and why this vast universe was created with its many planets and the paths leading to each planet individually, like planet Earth and the Milky Way? Have you seen the movie "You're Not Big Enough" and seen how small you are in this universe? And despite your smallness, this entire universe was created for you. Yes, for you. The animals are subservient to you by God's command, and the seas, rivers, and mountains provide food, produce, and yield fruits and treasures, and you enjoy them. Shouldn't you take some time to get to know the Creator of this dazzling creation: Why did He do all this? Why am I here? And where is my destiny? Isn't it worthwhile? In general, whatever your answer may be, the most important thing is that there are two things in this noble verse: "Travel - look." It is not a recommendation but a command, and it is up to you whether you want to or not.
The second verse
has the same idea and the same commands as the first, but the command is different: “Say, ‘Travel through the land and observe.’” What are we to observe now, O Lord? Observe the fate of the criminals? What is the point of observing the fate of criminals? And who is a criminal? In our world, a criminal is someone who commits a crime against the society in which they live, a crime punishable by law. Is this the same criminal in Your eyes, O Lord? Perhaps because love of one's homeland is part of faith, and perhaps the criminal in God's eyes is the one who violates His commands and takes His prohibitions with ease, knowingly and recklessly, or disregards God's commands for immediate gain. Whatever it may be if you see someone commit a crime against you, or against another person, or a group of people, or perhaps a nation. There are nations whose resources are plundered, yet they suffer the greatest famines known to humankind, while their rulers enjoy all kinds of wealth and even smuggle their resources out at the lowest prices for the justifiable reason of "preserving their thrones." As you walk through a country, somewhere, ask, just to be informed, about its system of government: Is it democratic, socialist, or somewhere in between? This is a joke. Rather, ask for the truth: What is the true origin of this people? Are they an indigenous people not recognized on the international map, like some of the peoples in Australia? Or do they enjoy their full rights? Then do a quick critical analysis in your mind: Are they better off than us? And if you are among the developing Arab or African nations, you might wonder: We are people of revealed religions, so do we live better than them? Even if you find that they are the ones living better: don't interpret that as meaning that God's religion, Islam, is not suitable for all times and places. Rather, interpret it as meaning that those who interpret this religion according to their whims and take from it what they desire, whether as peoples, kings, or presidents. The most important thing is: try to find out about the fate of any criminal in this country. Is he a war criminal, a genocide criminal, a criminal who violates the law, or someone who seized the country's resources? Just ask a question, even online, and you will have fulfilled the verse within yourself. But wait a moment: you are a traveler, therefore you are rich. Don't sit in a floating hotel and look down on the people of the country. I will tell you a short story: there was a young man who was fluent in 16 different languages, both written and spoken. Someone asked him, "How did you do this?" He told him something stranger than fiction. He said to him: When I wanted to learn a new language, I would travel to reach this language for six whole months, but I would not stay in a floating or non-floating hotel, but rather I would live in a popular area in this country, so I would pick up their words and expressions about every situation easily and effortlessly. Be like this young man in yourself.
The third verse
Here, the matter is slightly different, and what is commanded is also different. God Almighty says: (1- Say, "Travel through the land," 2- Then look) three times in the Holy Quran. God Almighty commands you to travel. Travel, my brother, if you are able to do so. Here, the second command is not about haste, but rather about taking your time, at your leisure. "Then" means after. What is commanded is, "How was the end of those who denied?" Perhaps you traveled to America, for example, 30 years ago, and then returned to it today after a full 30 years. Did you find the same places, people, and events as they were 30 years ago? Impossible. We are constantly changing, and events are rapidly changing. People have been believers who then became disbelievers, and others who were staunch atheists who later embraced a heavenly deity or something else. All of life is based on the universal concept of "change." So, as you travel, let your inner mind, the part of your heart that resides within you, take note: You have traveled, and now you must consider the consequences for those who denied the God of Heaven—the cosmic signs that confirm the existence of the God of Heaven—and which religion is worth choosing. However, there are two points to consider:
A. Why is the conjunction "then" used here?
Because you might spend your whole life seeing someone who denies God, His signs, and His religion living in abundant health, wealth, prestige, and power, while you yourself might be struggling financially. Do not be deceived; they will face consequences. This doesn't refer to people you know, but also to those you don't. Note: you are in a country other than the one you live in.
B. What is the difference between criminals and deniers? I
sn't their fate the same? Why are these mentioned in two separate verses? Crime has its deterrents in the Holy Quran, whether it be crucifixion, exile, or other punishments. This is possible and can be seen by everyone if it occurs in a country where Islamic punishments and deterrents are implemented. As for denial, it takes time. Look at the lives of the prophets: you come to the life of Moses, for example, in a few verses in the entire Quran. Did he live the life of a few verses? Was it one year, two years, or ten? No, rather more than 40 years, so that a new generation could be raised who believed in the justice of his cause and defended it with him. So, do not look at the denier after a year or two of life's events in his life? No, rather look at him with consideration, not gloating, for you cannot guarantee your own life after years if God Almighty grants you life.
God Almighty said:
{And We relate to you, [O Prophet], stories of the messengers by which We strengthen your heart. And in this [chapter] has come to you the truth, and an admonition, and a reminder for the believers.} (Hud 120) We relate to you, O Prophet, stories of the messengers who came before you, all that you need to strengthen your heart to bear the burdens of the message. And in this chapter and the stories it contains, there is a clear explanation of the truth you are upon, and there is an admonition by which the disbelievers will be deterred, and a reminder by which the believers in God and His messengers will remember.
A Reflection on the Noble Verse
Stories: We all love them, don't be arrogant about that. We all love the stories we heard as children from our elders. We all love stories of lessons and tales of past nations. If we didn't have them in the Quran, we would have searched for them in other religions or myths. Stories are impactful, and just as wisdom shortens the path, we love to hear them. Now, the Noble Verse tells us—or rather, it tells the beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and us after him—that the lesson is not in the specific reason but in the generality of the wording. God Almighty says:
"And We relate to you some of the news of the messengers."
Here, we pause to consider the word "news." News is not just information; it is important news. Sometimes, the movie you love on television is interrupted to show a ticker with the words "Important News," bringing you news that is not ordinary. So why are the news of the messengers so important? Because it informs you of past events, and if you want to know what is coming, look at the past, for things are similar. My brother, every woman, when she grows old, resembles her mother in many things or some of them, and every man says, "I have grown old, Father, and I do as you used to do" - with some changes - so glory be to God. Do not say that time will not go back, we are moving forward. No, no, rather, even if events change, the nature of people does not change. For with the stability of rule in most of the peoples of the earth, there are still revolutions, and there are still prisoners, and there are still diseases despite this remarkable progress in the medical field, and there are still great famines despite the existence of scientific robots that promised us that they would change the shape of humanity. Stop this nonsense, read, listen, and learn about the news of the messengers, for events will not change, but only forms, places, and times will change.
What strengthens your heart
What is the difference between the Foa'd and the heart? They both have the same meaning in the original language, don't they? Yes, but they are different in the sight of God Almighty. He says, “And the Foa'd of Moses’ mother became empty [of all else]. She was about to disclose [his identity] had We not strengthened her heart so that she would be among the believers.” [Al-Qasas: 10] When Moses’ mother left her son to face the waves of life alone, with his arms which is small in this life without her care, her heart almost flew from its place—it is the heart, but it was not a heart at that time, but a Foa'd —that is, a broken heart, so afraid it almost burst from her ribs—it knew no stability or peace. And we all, by the way, have times like the time of Moses’ mother, “we have a Foa'd in place of the physical heart.” May God Almighty forgive us all. Then He, the Exalted, says in the same verse "Had We not strengthened her heart? Now her heart has returned, calm, reassured, stable, and secure. Why? Because it was God Almighty Himself who reassured her heart, not tranquilizing medications, yoga, meditation, or any other technique. When your heart becomes a Foa'd, not just a heart, simply place your hand on your heart and say, 'O God, strengthen my heart,' three times. Take a deep breath, and your heart will calm down, and compensation will come. The heartbreaking scenes will transform into hope once more. Most importantly, God Almighty tells us the stories of the prophets only so that He may strengthen your heart. We know about the prophets that they are tested, and then the outcome is theirs. So, do not despair or feel disappointed if you see all events going against you. For an airplane to soar, it must fly against the current.
And in this there has come to you the truth, and an admonition, and a reminder for the believers
Can you imagine that God Almighty, in His majesty..." His destiny: He wants to tell you a story to entertain you while you sit on your couch?! You will be tested in this life, only if you are living comfortably now: Make a relationship with God not only because He is the one who determines destiny, no, no, but for a number you store up for the days of testing so that your heart does not become like a Foa'd and you do not know how to return it to a heart again, Life is full of challenges, difficulties, treachery, betrayal, harm to the point of death, wars, famines, and slaves even now.. It is a life that is difficult to live unless God Almighty permits you to have a life that you love and are satisfied with for yourself and those you love in this life.
God Almighty said
“And We made them leaders guiding by Our command when they were patient and certain of Our signs.” We made from among the Children of Israel guides and callers to good, whom people followed, and who called them to monotheism, the worship of God alone, and obedience to Him. They attained this high rank only because they were patient in obeying God’s commands, refraining from His prohibitions, calling to Him, and enduring harm in His cause. They were certain of God’s signs and proofs.
A glimpse into the noble verse
“And We made them leaders” – meaning leaders in the field of religion and calling to God. What does this mean? That they were not leaders and then became so? By whose command? By the command of God Almighty
They guide by Our command.
Guidance for humankind is a provision; were it not for God Almighty's permission, no one would be guided. He, the Exalted, says: "This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of God - those who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, and those who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain. Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord. And those..." They are the Harvester ones. Did you notice with me: that God Almighty has set 6 attributes for those whom He has blessed with guidance, and He did not only bless them with guidance, but He raised them until guidance became for them like a magic carpet that runs and they are raised above it. What do I mean? That guidance is partly your responsibility and partly God Almighty’s responsibility. God Almighty says in another place in the Qur’an (And those who are guided - We increase them in guidance). Start “now,” do not wait for tomorrow. The most important thing: He will make you one of those who guide by His command, Glory be to Him.
When they were patient and certain of Our signs
Patience: I hear you saying, "Who can be patient? It is difficult." And what does it mean in the language? It is steadfastness in the face of adversity, or it is refraining from complaining about affliction to anyone other than God Almighty. Perhaps you will say to me: I am just a child in a war, why should I endure the bitterness of patience? Or I am a young man who has seen nothing but cruelty in life? Or I am old enough to be patient now, what I have seen in this life is enough for me. No, no, wait a moment and let us know in the first place who has afflicted you? So-and-so, or the oppressive country, or or or, no, my dear brother: the essence of monotheism is to know that the true afflicter is God Almighty, and that we only live under the shadow of the noble verse “And We make some of you taste the violence of others.” This is it, merely reasons for a higher will. The German President Hitler used to say: We are God’s stick on earth. Did President Hitler understand it and you do not? O child of war: God is the one who afflicted you with this, so be patient. O young man who has seen nothing of life but cruelty: be patient. O, O, O: be patient, for God is the one who afflicts. And why does He afflict then? To purify you—to bring out your true essence. We ask nothing of God but that your essence and meaning be genuine and unaltered. He intended this experience for you at this time in your life for a truly great reason. There's a study that says: hardships forge greatness within you, and you don't even realize it. Just endure the bitterness of patience: I know it's painful and the taste is intense, but leave people for a moment and turn to Heaven, for it holds solace. Look at its vastness; it is enough that God is there, and there are the prophets and martyrs, and how excellent a company they are! There are the angels, who will enter upon you from every gate and give you glad tidings: "Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final home." This is the reward of patience, and God willing, it will be in this world before the next. May you remain well.
As for those who has certinity in Our signs
this is a completely different matter. Do you believe in the Day of Judgment while your enemy does not? Do you believe in Paradise and its bliss while your enemy thinks only of the present moment, trying to prevent you from experiencing the taste of earthly paradise? Do you believe in God Almighty, the One who has tested you, knowing that this pains you deeply, and knowing your place on the world map even if the entire universe is unaware of you, even if you are not on social media and no one knows you? Rejoice, for you are certain. Scholars say: If gratitude is half of faith and patience is the other half, then certainty equals all of faith. Be certain of the approaching time of your salvation. If you are not in this world, do not grieve, for you will meet God Almighty, and He will show you why He tested you at this age, for you will enter Paradise, God willing (the Paradise of this world before the Paradise of the Hereafter: certainty in God for your own sake). And remember, my dear: my certainty in God is my certainty: that is, my certainty in God protects me from falling into polytheism, from panic, from reaching a stage of uncertainty about salvation, or anything else. My dear, may you remain well.
The Perspective in Psychology
Every approach has its strengths and weaknesses, and adds something different to our understanding of human behavior. For this reason, it is important for psychology to have different perspectives on understanding and studying human and animal behavior. Some researchers focus more on one specific school of thought, while others adopt a more eclectic approach that incorporates multiple viewpoints. No perspective is "better" than another. Rather, each focuses on different aspects of human behavior. Together, these perspectives allow us to gain a more comprehensive understanding of why we do what we do. Let's begin...
7 Main Perspectives in Modern Psychology
The Psychodynamic Perspective
The psychodynamic perspective originated with the work of Sigmund Freud. This perspective focuses on psychology and human behavior, emphasizing the role of the unconscious mind, early childhood experiences, and interpersonal relationships in explaining human behavior, as well as in treating mental illness. Due to Freud's work and influence, psychoanalysis became one of the early major forces in psychology. Freud conceived of the mind as consisting of three main elements: the id, the ego, and the superego.
The Id
is the part of the psyche that contains all our primary and unconscious desires.
The Ego
is the part of the psyche that must deal with the demands of the real world.
The Superego
is the last part of the psyche to develop, and it is responsible for managing all our morals, standards, and internal ideals. Although the psychodynamic perspective is no longer dominant today, it remains a useful psychotherapeutic tool.
The Behavioral Perspective
While the Freudian approach focused on early experiences and unconscious drives, behaviorists were more interested in understanding how environmental factors influence our actions. Behavioral psychology focuses on learned behaviors. It was founded on the work of psychologists such as Edward Thorndike and John B. Watson.3 Behavioralism dominated psychology in the early 20th century, but it began to lose its prestige during the 1950s. Behavioralism differs from other perspectives in its exclusive focus on observable behaviors rather than internal states. Today, the behavioral perspective is still concerned with how behaviors are learned and reinforced. Behavioral principles are frequently applied in mental health settings, where therapists and counselors use these techniques to explain and treat a variety of conditions. Techniques rooted in behavioral principles include exposure therapy, aversion therapy, flooding, systematic desensitization, behavioral modeling, and token economics.

In summary
As you saw above, from a psychological perspective, the word "perspective" is used. Psychologists have divided the interpretation of human behavior into seven major perspectives, under which many other viewpoints may fall. All of this is to explain human behavior, thought processes, and mental illness. Imagine that God Almighty is the Creator of all creation, and He Himself is "the All-Knowing." You, in your world, are an expert appraiser of furniture, gold, diamonds, etc. But God Almighty is the All-Knowing in all sciences, and in His creation, for which the heavens and the earth were established—humankind—He is the All-Knowing. He tells you, through Quranic verses, to have a mind to think, analyze, decide, and apply through a series of decisions you will make throughout your life. He corrects the lens through which you view life. You are an expert in understanding that each of us has a lens—not a physical one, but a moral one—through which we view events and people around us. What does this lens depend on? It depends on your cognitive framework. And what are the components of this cognitive framework? It is culture, both material and immaterial, that defines your civilization and level of youe civilizing. How do you live your life from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep? How do you eat? How do you begin your day with gratitude through the prayer upon waking, or do you grumble about another day full of problems? This includes how you eat—with a spoon, three fingers of your right hand, or chopsticks like the Chinese—and so on. A large part of this culture is based on religion. As a Muslim, you have standards regarding your food, drink, clothing, and even your sadness and joy. And so life goes on. What I truly mean is that viewing the things and events around you through God's lens, or what He commands, such as: "Say, 'Travel and observe,'" or "Travel through the land and then observe," will give you a different perspective from those around you. We Muslims don't love difference simply for the sake of being different, with all the benefits of difference and the desire to avoid being mere copies. Rather, your difference from others in the culture that shapes your life is a kind of identity, if not its entirety.
Dear reader, may you remain well.
