هل تؤمن بوجود الملائكة كجزء من الدين؟ يقول تعالي في اول أحكام نزلت علي المؤمنين في اول سورة البقرة (﴿ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ﴾[ البقرة: 3]وهم الذين يُصَدِّقون بالغيب الذي لا تدركه حواسُّهم ولا عقولهم وحدها؛ لأنه لا يُعْرف إلا بوحي الله إلى رسله، مثل الإيمان بالملائكة، والجنة، والنار، وغير ذلك مما أخبر الله به أو أخبر به رسوله، ومعني الآية الكريمة ووجودها في اول سورة احكام فعلية "سورة البقرة" للمؤمنين توفر معني يريده الله تعالي ان يرسخ في أذهاننا ، أن هناك عالم غيب عن اعيننا القاصرة عن رؤية عالية المدي ، وهناك عالم شهادة ونحن نعيش الإثنين معاً، لو كان عالم الشهادة "الواقع" مؤلم جداً كما في الصراعات المسلحة أو الحروب وغيرها قد ينسينا عالم الغيب تماما ولا نري ولا نسمع ولا نفهم إلا كما يفهم الكفار "ما نراه في المعمل" اي نشمه أو نتذوقه أو نلمسه ..الخ، ما اقصده بهذا الكلام، قبل أن تقرأ عن عالم الملائكة ضع في حسبانك أنه من لوازم ومتطلبات إيمانك ان تؤمن بوجودهم مع عدم رؤيتك لهم، هذا المقال خاص بمواصفات الملائكة فقط وفي مقالات أُخر سنقدم واجبنا نحوهم وواجبهم نحونا ..لنبدأ
من هم
الملائكة
الملائكة تعتبر من خلق الله تبارك وتعالى، فخلقهم الله من نور، وخصهم الله تبارك وتعالى بمكانتهم العظيمة، ووكل إليهم مهام كثيرة والملائكة أيضاً يختلفون في مكانتهم عند الله تبارك وتعالى، فهناك من الملائكة من وكلهم الله تعالى بالوحي، كسيدنا جبريل عليه السلام، ومنهم من وكلهم بتنزيل المطر والرزق من السماء، كسيدنا ميكائيل، وغيره من الملائكة العظام.
ما هي المادة التي خُلقت منها الملائكة؟
خلقت الملائكة من نور
عن عائِشةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عنها أنَّ
رَسولَ الله صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم قال: خُلِقَت المَلائِكةُ من نُورٍ، وخُلِقَ
الجانُّ مِن مارجٍ من نارٍ، وخُلِقَ آدَمُ ممَّا وُصِفَ لكم.
لماذا لا
يرى الإنسان الملائكة والشياطين؟
بسبب طبيعة هذه المخلوقات وحواس الإنسان
و أولا و أخيراً هى حكمة الله تعالى
أن جعل الملائكة والشياطين غير مرئيين للإنسان

من أي مادة خلقت الملائكة؟
خلق الله الملائكة من نور.وثبت بالنصوص القطعية أن الإنسان لا يستطيع رؤية الجن إلا إذا ظهر في صورة أخرى، كصورة الإنسان والحيوان، فقدرة عيون بعض الحيوانات تجعله قادرًا على رؤية ما لا يراه الإنسان بالعين المجردة.
في بعض الحيوانات الفقارية
إن إطلاق الدوبامين بين النواة
الداخلية ومنطقة الشبكية (الضفيرة الداخلية والطبقات النووية الداخلية) سيؤدي إلى
مرور سريع للنبضات المتقاطعة بين الخلايا مما يساعد كثيرًا في الرؤية الليلية.
حيث أن الضوء داخل العين البشرية سوف
يمر عبر ثماني طبقات.
من الخلايا والشبكات العصبية قبل أن
تصل إلى العصب المستقبلي.
في الطيور
يتم تقليص هذه الطبقات حيث تكون في
العين قبل أن يتم حجب الإشارات إلى القشرة، وهناك غطاء كبير فوق العين يمثله:-
أولاً: الاقتران الشبكي حيث يمر
الضوء عبر جميع طبقات الشبكية ليصل إلى المستشعرات.
ثانياً: وجود عوائق في طبقات الخلايا
بسبب الكهرباء المتولدة في المستقبلات الضوئية، تمنعها من الوصول بحرية إلى الدماغ.
وتحتاج إلى التخدير لكي تمر كما في
الحيوانات.
ثالثا: وجود مراحل تحول الصورة في
العين، وعدم القدرة على إعطاء تفسير في العين كما يحدث في الطيور.
حيث يتم تفسير التعليمات في الطيور
في العين وعمل إضافي في القشرة المخية.
القطط والكلاب
كان يُعتقد سابقًا أن جميع الثدييات
لديها عيون تشبه عيون البشر، غير قادرة على رؤية الأشعة فوق البنفسجية، لكن الأدلة
العلمية تشير إلى أن العديد من الثدييات تستطيع ذلك: يؤكد العلم الآن أنها تستطيع
رؤية الترددات التي لا نستطيع رؤيتها، مثل الأشعة فوق البنفسجية وبعض الأشعة
الأخرى التي لا نستطيع رؤيتها من خلال شبكية العين البشرية.
قدمت دراسة أجراها علماء الأحياء
قبل بضع سنوات في جامعة مدينة لندن بالمملكة المتحدة دليلاً على هذا الاختلاف في الأفق بين الأنواع، وكان الضوء فوق البنفسجي هو الطول الموجي الذي يتجاوز الضوء المرئي من الأحمر إلى البنفسجي الذي يمكن للبشر رؤيته. يمتلك البشر عدسة تمنع الأشعة فوق البنفسجية من الوصول إلى شبكية العين، وقد كان يُعتقد سابقًا أن معظم الثدييات لديها عدسات مشابهة للبشر، وقد درس العلماء عدسات الثدييات الميتة ، بما في ذلك القطط والكلاب والقرود والباندا والقنافذ والقوارض، ومن خلال البحث في مقدار الضوء الذي يمر عبر العدسة للوصول إلى شبكية العين، استنتجوا أن بعض الثدييات التي اعتقدت سابقًا أنها لا تستطيع رؤية الضوء فوق البنفسجي يمكنها ذلك بالفعل.
ومع ذلك، أعتقد أن هناك شيئًا أكثر
لهذه الظاهرة التي تتعمق في عالم الميتافيزيقيا.
لقد مررت أنا وأختي الصغيرة بتجارب
حيث ترى قططنا أشياء غير موجودة.
إنهم يضربون في الهواء بأقدامهم،
ويصدرون مواءً وهسهسة، ويصدرون أصواتًا غريبة لأشياء لا يمكننا رؤيتها.
الديوك والحمير
لماذا يرى الديك الملائكة والحمير الشياطين؟
"عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (إذا سمعتم نهيق الحمر فتعوذوا بالله من الشيطان فإنها رأت شيطانا، وإذا سمعتم صياح الديكة فاسألوا الله من فضله فإنها رأت ملكا)."البخاري ومسلم.
قدرة الإنسان على الرؤية محدودة، فلا
يرى الأشعة تحت الحمراء وما فوق البنفسجية.
لكن قدرة الديوك والحمير أكبر من
ذلك.
هل يستطيع الإنسان الرؤية من خلال الأشعة فوق البنفسجية؟
في العادة، لا يستطيع البشر رؤية
الأشعة فوق البنفسجية لأن لديهم مخاريط تكتشف فقط اللون الأحمر والأخضر والأزرق في
أعينهم
ولكن من الممكن في بعض الحالات مثل
هذه
-
نقص عدسة العين نتيجة الإصابة – الجراحة – القرحة
... الخ.
إن رؤية الأشياء باستخدام فلتر
الأشعة فوق البنفسجية من شأنه أن يمنحنا إدراكًا حاليًا للألوان الإضافية
كان كلود مونيه رسامًا بارزًا وأبًا
للرسم الانطباعي الفرنسي.
وكان بإمكانه رؤية ألوان مستحيلة بسبب إزالة العدسة بعد جراحة إعتام عدسة العين.
ولعل بعض الصحابة رأوا في بعض الحالات الخاصة الملائكة.
وهذا يفسر رؤيا بعض أصحاب النبي محمد -صلى الله عليه وسلم- للملائكة.ولكنهم يتشكلون على أشكال الناس الذين يعرفونهم في محيطهم.
كم عدد
الملائكة؟
لا أحد يعلم عدد الملائكة إلا الله
سبحانه،
{وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودُ رَبِّكَ
إِلَّا هُوَ}
ما روي عن حكيم بن حزام عن الرسول -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أنه قال: (أتسمعون ما أسمع؟قالوا: لا نسمع شيئا.قال: إني أسمع أصوات السماء، ولا تلام على صوت، وليس فيها شبر إلا وعليه ملك ساجد أو قائم).
معنى (ما تلام أن تئط )
يشير إلى أن السماء تتأوه وتصدر
صوتًا بسبب ثقلها بالملائكة، وهذا التأوه ليس لومًا عليها.
هناك عدد كبير من الأحاديث النبوية التي تدل على وجود عدد كبير من الملائكة، فقد روي
عن أنَسِ بنِ مالكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عنه
في قِصَّةِ الإسراءِ: قال صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم: (ففُتِح لنا فإذا أنا أري
بإبراهيمَ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم مُسندًا ظَهْرَه إلى البيتِ المعمورِ، وإذا هو
يدخُلُه كُلَّ يومٍ سَبعون ألْفَ مَلَكٍ لا يعودون إليه)
صفات الملائكة
فإن الملائكة عباد الله المكرمون
خلقوا من نور ولا يوصفون بالذكورة أو الأنوثة ولا يتناسلون .. يسبحون الليل
والنهار لا يفترون، ويموتون كما يموت كل حي؛ كما قال تعالى:
كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا
وَجْهَهُ
{القصص: 88}.
السفراء الكرام البررة
إن للملائكة صفات حميدة وفاضلة
كثيرة، كما هو معلوم عن الملائكة أنهم كرام في البر،
لقوله تعالى:
{بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ (15)
كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ (16)}
سفرة: أى جعلهم الله سفراء بينه وبين رسله
بررة: هم بررة لم يتدنسوا بمعصية
التفاوت في الخلق
قال الله تعالى
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ
السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُولِي أَجْنِحَةٍ
مَّثْنَىٰ وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ ۚ يَزِيدُ فِي الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّ
اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (1)
(فاطر)
وأن الملائكة يتفاوتون في خلقهم، فمنهم من خلقه الله تعالى بجناحين، ومنهم من له ثلاثة، ومنهم من يملك أكثر من ذلك. فسيدنا جبريل مثلاً له ستمائة جناح، وهذا تفاوت في خلق الله الذى به حكمة لا يعلمها إلا هو
وأيضاً لهم قدرة عظيمة وخلق عظيم.رأى الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم سيدنا جبريل على صورته الطبيعية التي خلقه الله عز وجل عند سدرة المنتهى .قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: (رَأَيْتُ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَى سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى، وَلَهُ سِتُّ مِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ)
ومرة أخري ذكرت فى كتاب الله فى
قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى
(فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ
أَدْنَى. فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى)
وقوله :
( فكان قاب قوسين أو أدنى ) أي :
فاقترب جبريل إلى محمد لما هبط عليه إلى الأرض حتى كان بينه وبين محمد صلى الله
عليه وسلم قاب قوسين أي : بقدرهما.
التفاوت في المكانة والعمل
قال الله تبارك وتعالى
وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا لَهُ مَقَامٌ
مَّعْلُومٌ (164)
هذا خبر من الله عن قول الملائكة أنهم قالوا: وما منا معشر الملائكة إلا من له مقام في السماء معلوم.يشير إلى أن لكل ملك من الملائكة مهمة محددة ومرتبة معينة في طاعة الله، لا يتعداها.وثبت من خلال القرآن والسنة أن الملائكة شهدوا غزوة بدر مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم،
قال تعالى
{ وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ
بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنْتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ * إِذْ
تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَنْ يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَنْ يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ
بِثَلاثَةِ آلافٍ مِنَ الْمَلائِكَةِ مُنْزَلِينَ * بَلَى إِنْ تَصْبِرُوا
وَتَتَّقُوا وَيَأْتُوكُمْ مِنْ فَوْرِهِمْ هَذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ
بِخَمْسَةِ آلافٍ مِنَ الْمَلائِكَةُ مُسَوِّمِينَ *
قال تعالي
وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بُشْرَى لَكُمْ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُكُمْ بِهِ وَمَا النَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ }(آل عمران:126:123)
عن معاذ ابن رفاعة عن أبيه
وكان أبوه من أهل بدر – قال: جاء جبريل إلى النبى ﷺ فقال: ما تعدون أهل بدر فيكم؟قال: «من أفضل المسلمين - أو كلمة نحوها -».قال: وكذلك من شهد بدرا من الملائكة.(البخارى)
القدرة علي التشكل
الله أعطى الملائكة القدرة على
التشكل في هيئة غير هيئتهم وصورتهم.
قال تعالي
فَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا
فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا (17)
فظهر لها في صورة آدميّ سويّ الخلق ، يعني في صورة رجل من بني آدم معتدل الخلق.
والنبي إبراهيم جاءته الملائكة في صورة بشر
قال الله تعالى
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ
إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ (24) إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ
قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ (25) فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ
سَمِينٍ (26) فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ (27) فَأَوْجَسَ
مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ (28)
دخلت الملائكة على سيدنا ابراهيم
عليه الصلاة والسلام كأغراب من غير استئذان ولكنه كريم الطبع
فقدم لهم عجل سمين وتخوف منهم عندما وجدهم
لا يأكلون (الملائكة لا تأكل) .
التنظيم
الملائكة منظمون في كل شؤونهم، وفي عبادتهم.
قال الله تعالى
﴿وَجَاءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا
صَفًّا ﴾
وقال تعالى
﴿يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الرُّوحُ
وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ صَفًّا لَا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَنُ
وَقَالَ صَوَابًا ﴾
لا يعصون الله
جميعهم دون استثناء لا يعصون الله، هم
ليس لهم القدرة على معصية الله، فهم مجبولون على الطاعة، ومِمَّا دل على ذلك
قول الله تعالي
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
قُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ
عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ
وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ ﴾
وقوله تعالى
﴿لَا يَسْبِقُونَهُ بِالْقَوْلِ
وَهُمْ بِأَمْرِهِ يَعْمَلُون﴾
الملائكة مطهرون
قال تعالى
{لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ}
الملائكة هم من يمسون القرآن في اللوح المحفوظ، هم الملائكة الكرام الذين طهرهم الله من الذنوب والعيوب.
الحياء
من صفات الملائكة أيضاً أنها تستحيي
ممن يخاف الله ويخشى غضبه.
عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، وروى عنها
أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال "إن عثمان حيي ستير تستحي منه
الملائكة".
(رواه مسلم )
إنهم ينزعجون من الروائح الكريهة
فالملائكة لا تحب الرائحة الكريهة سواء ناتجة من سوء نظافة اوطعام كالثوم والبصل .وثبت عنه ﷺ أنه قال: إن الملائكة تتأذى مما يتأذى منه بنو الإنسان.
بعض أسماء بعض الملائكة وأعمالهم مع البشر
هناك عدد كبير من الملائكة لا يعلم عددهم إلا الله تبارك وتعالى، وقد علمنا منهم قليل. من خلال السنة والكتاب، وهم أشهر الملائكة المعروفين.
سيدنا جبريل
فهو الملك الذي ولاه الله تعالى بالوحي والتكلم مع الرسل، كما أنزل الله تبارك وتعالى فى القرآنوسماه بالروح القدس.
قال تعالي
وَآتَيْنَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ
الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ
وقد سماه تعالى ايضا بالروح الأمين
كما قال تعالى
وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ* نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ* عَلَى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنذِرِينَ.
جبريل عليه السلام فإنه لم يمت، وهو من الملائكة المقربين، وصاحب وحي الله تعالى على أنبيائه، ومن آخر خلق الله موتا وهو ينزل إلى الأرض كل سنة ليلة القدر مع ملائكة الرحمن
كما قال تعالى:
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ * تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا. {القدر: الآية3-4} .
ميكائيل
ميكائيل عليه السلام: وهو الملك الموكّل بنزول الأمطار، وقد ورد اسمه في كتاب الله
قوله تعالى
{من كان عدوا لله وملائكته
ورسله وجبريل وميكال فإن الله عدو للكافرين}
إسرافيل
هو الملك الذي وكله الله تعالى بالنفخ في الصور وهو الملك صاحب المهمّة الأخرويّة، والمؤذنة بانتهاء الحياة الدنيا، ويسوق الناس للجزاء والحساب، "وهما نفختان البعث والنشور".
ولإسرافيل عليه السلام اسمٌ آخر، وهو: "صاحب القرن" والمقصود به الصور الذي سينفخ فيه يوم القيام.جاء عن أبي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه، أن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قال: ( كيف أنعمُ؟ وقد التقم صاحب القرنِ القرنَ، وحنى جبهته، وأصغى سمعه، ينظر متى يؤمر؟) رواه أحمد.
مالك (خازن النار)
ومالك معروف بأنه الملك الذي عيّنه الله تعالى خازن لجهنم، ورد اسمه في
قول الله تعالى
{وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ} (الزخرف:77)
منكر ونكير
وهما الملكان الموكلان بسؤال العبد
في القبر.
هاروت وماروت
هما الملكان اللذان أنزلهما الله تعالى إلى الأرض ليختبرهما كأبناء آدم، وقد أرسل الملكان.وقد ورد ذكرها في سورة البقرة
بقوله
تعالى
وَاتَّبَعُوا مَا تَتْلُو
الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَىٰ مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ ۖ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَٰكِنَّ
الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُوا يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى
الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ ۚ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ
حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ ۖ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ
مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ ۚ وَمَا هُم
بِضَارِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ
واتبع اليهود ما تُحَدِّث الشياطينُ به السحرةَ على عهد ملك سليمان بن داود. وما كفر سليمان وما تَعَلَّم السِّحر، ولكنَّ الشياطين هم الذين كفروا بالله حين علَّموا الناس السحر؛ إفسادًا لدينهم. وكذلك اتبع اليهود السِّحر الذي أُنزل على الملَكَين هاروت وماروت، بأرض "بابل" في "العراق"؛ امتحانًا وابتلاء من الله لعباده.وما يعلِّم الملكان من أحد حتى ينصحاه ويحذِّراه من تعلم السحر، ويقولا له: لا تكفر بتعلم السِّحر وطاعة الشياطين.
ميكال - عليه السلام -
هو ملكٍ موكل بالسحاب
فعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما، قال: أقبلت يهودُ إلى رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم-فقالوا: أخبرنا ما هذا الرعد؟فقال عليه الصلاة والسلام: (ملك من ملائكة الله عز وجل، موكلٌ بالسحاب يسوقه حيث أمره الله ) رواه أحمد.
رقيب وعتيد
وقد وُصف الملكان رقيب وعتيدكل منهما بكتابة الأعمال يُكتب كل شيء، لكن يُؤاخذ على ما فيه الخير والشر، إما حسنةٌ يُؤجر، وإما سيئةٌ يأثم، وما سوى ذلك يُلقى.وقد ورد ذكرهما فيالقرآن الكريم حسب
قول الله تعالى:
مَا يَلْفِظُ مِنْ قَوْلٍ إِلَّا
لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ [ق:18]
فكل منهما موكل بحفظ وكتابة أعمال
العباد من خير أو شر وهم: الكرام الكاتبون، فالذي عن اليمين يكتب الحسنات، والذي
عن الشمال يكتب السيئات
ملك الموت
وهو الملك الذي أوكلت له مهمّة قبض
الأرواح، وقد جاء في نصوص الوحي من القرآن الكريم والسنة تسميته عليه السلام: بملك
الموت
قال الله تعالى
"قُلْ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ"(السجدة: 11).
أصناف الملائكة
وقد ورد ذكر الملائكة في القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية بذكر فرقهم حسب عملهم المكلفين بهاومن هذه الفرق:
حملة العرش
قال الله تعالى
{الَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُونَ الْعَرْشَ
وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ
وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا}
وقال تعالى
{وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ
فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ}
لا شك أنهم مِنْ أكبر الملائكة
وأعظمهم وأقواهم، واختيار الله لهم لِحَمْل عرْشه، وتقديمهم في الذِكْر، وقربهم
منه، يدل على أنهم أفضل أجناس الملائكة عليهم السلام".
الحفظة
ومهمتهم حماية بني آدم، وحراسة المؤمن، وحمايته من البلايا والأهوال التي قد تصيبه في يومه
قال تعالى
(وَهُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفِظَةً حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْرِطُونَ)
فإنه قد ثبت أن هناك حفظة من
الملائكة، يحرسون العباد، بإذن الله وقدره مما لم يقدر الله إصابة العبد به فإذا
قدر الله أن يصاب العبد بشيء فلا تستطيع الملائكة دفعه.
قال الله تعالى
لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ{الرعد: 11}
وقد ذكر ابن كثير في التفسير : أنهم
أربعة بالليل وأربعة بالنهار، فاثنان عن اليمين والشمال يكتبان الحسنات والسيئات،
واثنان من ورائه وأمامه يحرسانه.
ملائكة الرحمة وملائكة العذاب
قال تعالي
قُلْ يَتَوَفَّاكُم مَّلَكُ
الْمَوْتِ الَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ (11)
فإذا قبض ملك الموت نفسا مؤمنة، دفعها إلى ملائكة الرحمة، وإذا قبض نفسا كافرة أو فاجرة، دفعها إلى ملائكة العذاب،
قوله تعالي
توفته رسلنا وهم لا يفرطون
بل يقبضونها من ملك الموت، ثم يصعدون
بها إلى الله
وذلك قوله وأمره للملائكة
"ثُمَّ رُدُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ
مَوْلَاهُمُ الْحَقِّ ۖ أَلَا لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ الْحَاسِبِينَ"
ملائكة الجنة
قال تعالي
﴿ وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ زُمَرًا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوهَا وَفُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوهَا خَالِدِينَ﴾
وسيق الذين اتقوا ربهم بتوحيده والعمل بطاعته إلى الجنة جماعات، حتى إذا جاؤوها وشُفع لهم بدخولها، فتحت أبوابها، فترحِّب بهم الملائكة الموكَّلون بالجنة، ويُحَيُّونهم بالبِشر والسرور؛ لطهارتهم من آثار المعاصي قائلين لهم: سلام عليكم من كل آفة، طابت أحوالكم، فادخلوا الجنة خالدين فيها. مع العلم أن أول من يفتح له باب الجنة هو خاتم النبيين محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقد ثبت في الصحيح أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (آتي باب الجنة يوم القيامة فأفتحه، فيقول الخازن: من أنت؟ أقول: محمد، فيقول: أمرتني بك ألا أفتح لأحد قبلك).
ملائكة العذاب (الزبانية)
وهم ملائكة غلاظ شداد موكلون بجهنم،
ورئيسهم هو مالك خازن النار.
ورد ذكرهم في القرآن الكريم
سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ (18)
﴿ تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۖ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ﴾[ الملك: 8]
تكاد جهنم تتمزق مِن شدة غضبها على
الكفار، كلما طُرح فيها جماعة من الناس سألهم الملائكة الموكلون بأمرها على سبيل
التوبيخ: ألم يأتكم في الدنيا رسول يحذركم هذا العذاب الذي أنتم فيه؟
ملائكة البيت المعمور
البيت المعمور في السماء السابعة
بمنزلة الكعبة في الأرض إذ هو يدخله في كل يوم سبعون ألف ملك ، ثم لا يعودون إليه.
ملك موكل بنفخ الروح فى الاجنة
-نفخ الروح في الأجنة وكتابة حياة كل
نفس وعملها ورزقها وسعادتها وشقائها.
عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه
قال : حدثنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
: إن أحدكم يجمع خلقه في بطن أمه أربعين يوما نطفة ، ثم يكون علقة ، ثم يكون مضغة ، ثم يرسل الله إليه الملك ،
فينفخ فيه الروح ويؤمر بأربع كلمات : بكتب رزقه وعمله وأجله وشقي أو سعيد
العلاقة المباشرة بين الملائكة وبنى الإنسان
منذ أن يولد الإنسان تبدأ العلاقة
المباشرة مع الملائكة منذ نفخ الروح فيه جنينا ثم
طفولته وتستمرُّ هذه العلاقة فى حياته كلها، وأشد ما تكون هذه العلاقة عند
الشدائد، وبالذات يوم الوفاة ويوم البعث، ثم بعد ذلك عند الحساب، وبعدها إما فى
الجنة أو فى النار.
هذه العلاقة تستمر بطول الحياة فإذا ذهب إلى المسجد للصلاة، يقول ملك بجواره
«اللهم اغفر له، اللهم احفظه»، لا يتركه حتى ينصرف، وإذا أنفق مما آتاه الله شيئًا
لوجه الله، يقول ملك من قِبل الله «اللهم آتِ منفقًا خلفًا» وهكذا كلما همَّ بطاعة
ابتغاءَ وجه الله.
قال النبى، صلى الله عليه وسلم، «إن
الله تبارك وتعالى إذا أحب عبدا نادى جبريل: إن الله أحب فلانا فأحبه، فيحبه جبريل،
ثم نادى جبريل فى السماء: إن الله أحب فلانا فأحبوه، فيحبه أهل السماء، ويوضع له
القبول فى الأرض».
وتستمر العلاقة بين الإنسان
والملائكة حتى النهاية، فإن الإنسان إذا احتضر يأتيه ملك الأرزاق، فيقول له: بحثتُ
لك عن رزقٍ، فوجدتُك قد وفيت ما كُتب لك من الرزق، فيمسك نهائيًّا عن الطعام
والشراب و يأتيه ملك الأنفاس، ويقول له: بحثت لك عن نفس تتنفسه، فوجدتك قد وفيت
كلَّ ما كتب لك من أنفاس، فيتوقف عن التنفس؛ أى: يتوفَّى، فيقوم ملك الموت بنزع
الروح، كما قال سبحانه وتعالى: «قُلْ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ
الَّذِى وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ».
وفى القبر رُوى أن ملكًا من قِبَل
الله – تعالى – يأتى إلى الإنسان ويريه مقعده فى الجنة أو النار، وذلك فى نهاية
سؤال القبر.
ويوم البعث يخرج من قبره فيجد ملكًا
من قِبَل الله يأخذه ويوقفه فى المكان الذى يريده الله لك، أو يسوقه إلى موقفه
المناسب «وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ».
الملائكة خَلْقٌ مِنْ مخلوقات الله
تعالى، وهم عباده المُكْرَمون خَلْقاً وخُلُقاً، وهم رسُل الله تعالى وجُنده في
تنفيذ أمره الذي يُوحِيه إليهم، وسُفَراؤه إلى أنبيائه ورسله.
قال الله تعالى
{اللَّهُ يَصْطَفِي مِنَ
الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا وَمِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ}
لا يخالفون الله في أمره الذي يأمرهم
به
{وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ}
والإيمان بالملائكة أحد أركان الإيمان التي جاءت في الحديث الذي رواه مسلم في صحيحه حين سُئِل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الإيمان فقال: (أن تؤمن بالله، وملائكته، وكتبه، ورسله، واليوم الآخر، والقدَر خيره وشره).
The angels are among God Almighty's creations. He created them from light, and He has given them special status and entrusted them with many tasks. Angels also differ in their status with God Almighty. Some angels are entrusted with revelation, such as our Master Gabriel, peace be upon him, while others are entrusted with sending down rain and sustenance from the sky, such as our Master Michael and other great angels.
Were angels created from light?
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels were created from light, the jinn were created from a smokeless flame of fire, and Adam was created from what has been described to you."
Why can't humans see angels and devils?
Because of the nature of these creatures and human senses.
First and foremost, it is the wisdom of Allah Almighty to make angels and devils invisible to humans.
(The Scientific Proposal)
From what material were angels created?
Allah created angels from light. It is proven by definitive texts that humans cannot see the jinn unless they appear in another form, such as the form of humans or animals. The ability of the eyes of some animals enables them to see what humans cannot see with the naked eye.
In some vertebrates,
The release of dopamine between the inner nucleus and the retinal region (the inner plexiform and inner nuclear layers) results in rapid cross-cell transmission, which greatly aids night vision.
Light within the human eye passes through eight layers of cells and neural networks before reaching the receptor nerve.
In birds,
These layers are reduced in the eye before signals to the cortex are blocked. There is a large covering over the eye, which represents:
First: Retinal coupling, where light passes through all layers of the retina to reach the sensors.
Second: Obstructions in the cell layers due to the electricity generated in the photoreceptors prevent it from freely reaching the brain.
This requires anesthesia to pass through, as in animals.
Third: The presence of image transformation stages in the eye, and the inability to interpret the image in the eye, as in birds.
In birds, instructions are interpreted in the eye, with additional work in the cerebral cortex.
The Cats and Dogs
It was previously believed that all mammals had eyes similar to those of humans, unable to see ultraviolet light. However, scientific evidence indicates that many mammals can. Science now confirms that they can see frequencies that we cannot, such as ultraviolet and some other rays that cannot be seen through the human retina.
A study conducted by biologists
a few years ago at City University London in the UK provided evidence of this difference in vision between species. Ultraviolet light is the wavelength beyond visible light, from red to violet, which humans can see. Humans have a lens that prevents ultraviolet light from reaching the retina. It was previously thought that most mammals had similar lenses to humans. Scientists studied the lenses of dead mammals, including cats, dogs, monkeys, pandas, hedgehogs, and rodents. By investigating how much light passes through the lens to reach the retina, they concluded that some mammals previously thought unable to see ultraviolet light can indeed.
However, I believe there is something more to this phenomenon that delves deeper into the realm of metaphysics.
My little sister and I have had experiences where our cats see things that aren't there.
They beat the air with their paws, meow and hiss, and make strange noises for things we can't see.
The Roosters and Donkeys
Why do roosters see angels and donkeys see devils?
“On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘If you hear the braying of a donkey, then seek refuge in Allah from Satan, for it has seen a devil. And if you hear the crowing of a rooster, then ask Allah for His bounty, for it has seen an angel.’” (Bukhari and Muslim)
Human vision is limited; they cannot see infrared and ultraviolet light.
However, the vision of roosters and donkeys is greater.
Can humans see through ultraviolet light?
Normally, humans cannot see ultraviolet light because they have cones in their eyes that only detect red, green, and blue.
However, it is possible in some cases, such as:
- loss of the lens of the eye due to injury, surgery, ulcers, etc.
Seeing things with an ultraviolet filter would give us a current perception of additional colors.
Claude Monet was a prominent painter and the father of French Impressionist painting.
He was able to see impossible colors due to the removal of the lens after cataract surgery.
Perhaps some of the Companions saw angels in special circumstances.
This explains why some of the Prophet Muhammad's companions (peace be upon him) saw angels. However, they took the form of people they knew in their surroundings.
How many angels are there?
No one knows the number of angels except God, the Exalted.
{And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him.}
It was narrated on the authority of Hakim ibn Hizam that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Do you hear what I hear?" They said: "We do not hear anything." He said: "I hear the sounds of the heavens, and you are not to be blamed for any sound. There is not a span of land in it that does not have an angel prostrating or standing upon it."
The meaning of "you are not to be blamed for groaning"
indicates that the heavens groan and make sounds due to their weight with angels, and this groaning is not blameworthy.
There are numerous hadiths of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that indicate the presence of a large number of angels. It was narrated on the authority of Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) in the story of the Isra' (Night Journey): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The gate was opened for us, and I saw Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him) leaning his back against the Frequented House. Seventy thousand angels enter it every day, never to return."
The Characteristics of Angels
The angels, the honored servants of Allah, were created from light. They are not described as male or female, and they do not reproduce. They glorify Allah day and night without tiring. They die just as every living thing dies, as Allah the Almighty says:
Everything will perish except His Face{Al-Qasas:
The Noble and Righteous Ambassadors
The angels possess many praiseworthy and virtuous qualities. It is well known that angels are noble in their righteousness.
As God Almighty says:
{بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ (15) كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ (16)
{In the hands of messengers (15) Noble and righteous (16)}
Journey: God made them ambassadors between Him and His messengers.
Pious: They are righteous and have not been defiled by sin.
Different in their Creation
God Almighty said:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُولِي أَجْنِحَةٍ مَّثْنَىٰ وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ ۚ يَزِيدُ فِي الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (1)
Praise be to God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who has made the angels messengers with wings, two, three, or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, God is over all things competent. (1) (Fatir)
And the angels vary in their creation. God Almighty created some of them with two wings, some with three, and some with more than that. For example, our master Gabriel has six hundred wings. This is a variation in God's creation, which has a wisdom that only He knows.
They also possess great power and great character. The Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw our master Gabriel in his natural form, as God Almighty created him, at the Lote Tree of the Limit. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "I saw Gabriel on the Lote Tree of the Limit, and he had six hundred wings."
And again, it is mentioned in the Book of God in
God Almighty says:
(فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى. فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى)
(So he was two bow lengths away or even nearer. So He revealed to His servant what He revealed.)
And He says:
(So he was two bow lengths away or even nearer.) meaning: Gabriel approached Muhammad when he descended upon him to the earth, until there was between him and Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, the distance of two bow lengths, meaning the same distance as them.
The Differences in Status and Work
God Almighty said:
وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا لَهُ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ (164)
And there is not one of us but has a known station (164)
This is a statement from God about the angels’ statement: “There is not one of us, angels, but has a known station in heaven.” This indicates that each angel has a specific mission and a specific rank in obedience to God, which he does not exceed. It is proven through the Qur’an and Sunnah that the angels witnessed the Battle of Badr with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
God Almighty said:
{ وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنْتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ * إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَنْ يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَنْ يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِثَلاثَةِ آلافٍ مِنَ الْمَلائِكَةِ مُنْزَلِينَ * بَلَى إِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا وَيَأْتُوكُمْ مِنْ فَوْرِهِمْ هَذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِخَمْسَةِ آلافٍ مِنَ الْمَلائِكَةُ مُسَوِّمِينَ *
{And God had certainly given you victory at Badr when you were weak. So fear God that you may be grateful. * When you said to the believers, “Is it not sufficient for you that He should reinforce you with a little support?” Your Lord will send down three thousand angels. Yes, if you are patient and fear Allah and they come to you immediately, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels marked.
God Almighty said:
وما جعله الله إلا بشرى لكم ولتطمئن به قلوبكم وما النصر إلا من عند الله العزيز الحكيم. (آل عمران: ١٢٣-١٢٦)
And Allah did not make it except as good tidings for you and that your hearts might be reassured thereby. And victory is not but from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (Al Imran: 123-126)
On the authority of Mu'adh ibn Rifa'ah, on the authority of his father:
His father was From the people of Badr - He said: Gabriel came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: What do you consider the people of Badr among you? He said: "Among the best of the Muslims - or a similar statement." He said: "And so are those angels who witnessed Badr." (Bukhari)
The Ability to Transform
God gave the angels the ability to transform into a form other than their own.
God Almighty said:
فأرسلنا إليها روحنا فتمثل لها بشرًا سويًّا (17).
So We sent to her Our Spirit, and he appeared to her as a well-proportioned human being (17).
He appeared to her in the form of a human being with a well-proportioned appearance, meaning in the form of a man from the children of Adam with an average build.
And the angels came to the Prophet Abraham in the form of a human being.
And the angels came to the Prophet Abraham in human form.
God Almighty said:
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ (24) إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ (25) فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ (26) فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ (27) فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ (28)
Has there come to you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? (24) When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." He said, "Peace, you are an unknown people." (25) So he turned to his family and brought a fattened calf. (26) And he presented it to them. He said, "Will you not eat?" (27) So he felt fear of them. They said, "Do not fear." And they gave him good tidings of a learned boy. (28)
I entered The angels approached our master Abraham, peace be upon him, as strangers, without asking permission, but he was a man of noble nature.
He offered them a fattened calf and was afraid of them when he found them not eating (angels do not eat).
The Organized
The Angels are organized in all their affairs, including in their worship.
God Almighty said:
"وجاء ربك والملائكة صفًّا صفًّا"
“And your Lord will come, and the angels, rank upon rank.”
And God Almighty said:
"يوم يقوم الروح والملائكة صفًا صفًا لا ينطقون إلا لمن أذن له الرحمن وقال صوابًا".
“The Day the Spirit and the angels will stand, rank upon rank. They will not speak except for one to whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is right.”
They will not disobey God.
All of them, without exception, will not disobey God. They do not have the ability to disobey God, for they are naturally obedient. Evidence of this is:
God Almighty said:
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ ﴾
“O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones over it.” Angels are stern and severe. They do not disobey Allah in what He commands them, but they do what they are commanded.
And the Almighty says:
"لا يسبقونه في القول وهم بأمره يعملون".
“They do not precede Him in speech, and they act by His command.”
Angels are purified.
God Almighty said:
{لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ}
{None shall touch it except the purified.}
The angels are the ones who touch the Qur'an on the Preserved Tablet. They are the honorable angels whom God has purified from sins and faults.
The Modesty
Another characteristic of the angels is that they are shy toward those who fear God and dread His wrath.
Aisha (may God be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Uthman is modest and discreet, and the angels are shy of him." (Narrated by Muslim)
They are bothered by bad odors.
The Angels do not like bad odors, whether they result from poor hygiene or foods such as garlic and onions. It is proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Angels are bothered by the same things that bother human beings."
Some Names of Some Angels and Their Work with Humans
There are a large number of angels, the exact number of whom is known only to God Almighty. We have learned a few of them through the Sunnah and the Qur'an. They are the most well-known angels.
Our Master Gabriel -PBUH
He is the angel whom God Almighty entrusted with revelation and speaking to the Messengers. God Almighty also revealed this in the Qur'an, calling him the Holy Spirit.
God Almighty said:
وَآتَيْنَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ
And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit.
He also called him the Trustworthy Spirit.
He also said:
وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ* نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ* عَلَى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنذِرِينَ.
And indeed, it is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. * The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down * Upon your heart that you may be among the warners.
Gabriel, peace be upon him, did not die. He is one of the closest angels, the bearer of God's revelation to His prophets, and one of the last of God's creations to die. He descends to Earth every year on the Night of Decree with the angels of the Most Merciful.
As God Almighty says:
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ * تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا. {القدر: الآية3-4} .
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein. (Al-Qadr: 3-4)
Michael PBUH
Michael, peace be upon him: He is the angel entrusted with bringing down rain. His name is mentioned in the Book of God.
God Almighty says:
{من كان عدوا لله وملائكته ورسله وجبريل وميكال فإن الله عدو للكافرين}
{Whoever is an enemy to God and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, God is an enemy to the disbelievers.}
Israfil PBUH
He is the angel whom God Almighty has entrusted with blowing the Trumpet. He is the angel entrusted with the mission of the Hereafter, heralding the end of worldly life and leading people to recompense and judgment. "These are the two blasts of Resurrection and the Day of Judgment."
Israfil, peace be upon him, has another name: "The Owner of the Horn," referring to the trumpet that will be blown on the Day of Judgment. Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may God be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How can I enjoy myself when the Owner of the Horn has taken hold of the horn, bent his forehead, and listened attentively, waiting for the command to be given." Narrated by Ahmad.
Malik (Keeper of Hell)
Malik is known as the angel appointed by God Almighty as the keeper of Hell. His name is mentioned in the following verse:
{وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ} (الزخرف:77)
{And they will cry out, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain."} (Az-Zukhruf: 77)
Munkar and Nakir
They are the two angels assigned to question the servant in the grave.
Harut and Marut
They are the two angels whom God Almighty sent down to Earth to test them as the sons of Adam. The two angels were sent. They are mentioned in Surat Al-Baqarah.
God Almighty says:
وَاتَّبَعُوا مَا تَتْلُو الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَىٰ مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ ۖ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَٰكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُوا يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ ۚ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ ۖ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ ۚ وَمَا هُم بِضَارِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ
And they followed what the devils recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but it was the devils who disbelieved, teaching people magic and what was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. And they did not teach anyone until they had said, "We are only a trial, so do not disbelieve." And they learned from them that by which they caused separation between a man and his wife. And they cannot harm anyone with it except by permission of Allah.
The Jews followed the magicians' teachings given by the devils during the reign of Solomon, son of David. Solomon did not disbelieve or learn magic, but it was the devils who disbelieved in Allah when they taught people magic, corrupting their religion. Similarly, the Jews followed the magic revealed to the two angels, Harut and Marut, in the land of Babylon in Iraq, as a test and trial from Allah for His servants. The two angels did not teach anyone until they advised and warned them against learning magic, saying, "Do not disbelieve by learning magic and obeying the devils."
The Angel of Death
He is the angel entrusted with the task of taking souls. In the texts of revelation from the Holy Quran and the Sunnah, he is called the Angel of Death.
God Almighty says:
"قُلْ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ" (السجدة: ١١).
"Say, 'The Angel of Death, who is appointed over you, will take your souls.'" Then to your Lord you will be returned.” (As-Sajdah: 11)
The Classes of Angels
The angels are mentioned in the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah, and their groups are described according to the duties they are assigned. Among these groups are:
The Bearers of the Throne
God Almighty said:
{الذين يحملون العرش ومن حوله يسبحون بحمد ربهم ويؤمنون به ويستغفرون للمؤمنين}.
{Those who bear the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who believe.}
And He also said:
{وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ}
{And above them, that Day, will be borne by eight.}
There is no doubt that they are among the largest, most powerful, and most important angels. God's selection of them to bear His Throne, their mention before Him, and their closeness to Him indicate that they are the best class of angels. Peace be upon them.
The Keepers
Their mission is to protect the children of Adam, guard the believer, and protect him from the calamities and terrors that may befall him during his lifetime.
God Almighty says:
(وَهُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفِظَةً حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْرِطُونَ)
(And He is the One with power over His servants. He sends over you guardians until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their duties].)
It has been proven that there are guardian angels who guard His servants, by God's permission and decree, from whatever God has not decreed will befall the servant. If God decrees that something befalls the servant, the angels are unable to prevent it.
God Almighty said:
لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ{الرعد: 11}
He has guardian angels before him and behind him, guarding him by the command of God. (Al-Ra'd: 11)
Ibn Kathir mentioned in his interpretation: They are four at night and four during the day. Two are on his right and left, recording his good and bad deeds, and two are behind him and in front of him, guarding him.
Angels of Mercy and Angels of Punishment
God Almighty said:
قل يتوفاكم ملك الموت الذي وكل بكم ثم إلى ربكم ترجعون. (١١)
Say, "The Angel of Death, who is assigned to you, will take you; then to your Lord you will be returned." (11)
So when the Angel of Death takes a believing soul, he hands it over to the angels of mercy. And when he takes a disbelieving or wicked soul, he hands it over to the angels of punishment.
God Almighty said:
توفته رسلنا وهم لا يفرطون
Our messengers take it, and they do not neglect it.
Rather, they take it from the Angel of Death, then they ascend with it to God.
This is His statement and command to the angels:
"ثُمَّ رُدُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ مَوْلَاهُمُ الْحَقِّ ۖ أَلَا لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ الْحَاسِبِينَ"
"Then they will be returned to God, their true Master. Unquestionably, His is the judgment, and He is the swiftest of reckoners."
The Angels of Paradise
God Almighty said:
﴿ وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ زُمَرًا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوهَا وَفُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوهَا خَالِدِينَ﴾
“And those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it and its gates are opened, and its keepers will say to them, ‘Peace be upon you. You have done well, so enter it to abide eternally.’”
Those who feared their Lord by proclaiming His Oneness and acting in obedience to Him will be driven to Paradise in groups. When they reach it and are granted permission to enter, its gates will be opened. The angels assigned to Paradise will welcome them, greeting them with glad tidings and joy, for their purity from the traces of sin. They will say to them, “Peace be upon you, free from every affliction. Your affairs have been good. So enter Paradise to abide eternally therein.” Knowing that the first person to have the gate of Paradise opened for him is the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. It is authentically reported in Sahih that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I will come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection and open it. The gatekeeper will ask, 'Who are you?' I will say, 'Muhammad.' He will say, 'You commanded me not to open it for anyone before you.'"
The Angels of Punishment (Zabaniyya)
They are harsh, severe angels assigned to Hell, and their leader is Malik, the gatekeeper of Hell.
They are mentioned in the Holy Quran.
We will call the guards (18)
﴿ تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۖ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ﴾[ الملك: 8]
“It almost bursts with rage. Every time a group is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, ‘Did there not come to you a warner?’” (Al-Mulk: 8)
The Hell almost bursts with the intensity of its wrath against the disbelievers. Every time a group of people is thrown into it, the angels assigned to its affairs ask them, as a rebuke, “Did no messenger come to you in this world to warn you of this torment you are in?”
The Angels of the Frequented House
The Frequented House in the seventh heaven is like the Kaaba on earth, as seventy thousand angels enter it every day, and then they never return.
An angel assigned to breathe life into embryos
Breathing the soul into embryos and writing down the life of each soul, its deeds, its provision, its happiness, and its misery.
On the authority of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told us: Each one of you is brought together in his mother's womb for forty days as a drop of semen, then he becomes a clot, then a lump of flesh. Then Allah sends an angel to him, who breathes the soul into him and is commanded with four commands: to write down his provision, his deeds, his lifespan, and whether he will be wretched or blessed.
The Angels of the Ma'mur House
The Ma'mur House in the seventh heaven is like the Kaaba on earth, as seventy thousand angels enter it every day, never to return.
An angel is charged with breathing the soul into the fetuses.
Breathing the soul into the fetuses and recording the life, deeds, provision, happiness, and misery of each soul.
On the authority of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told us: Each one of you is brought together in his mother's womb for forty days as a drop of semen, then he becomes a clot, then a lump of flesh. Then Allah sends an angel to him, who breathes the soul into him and is commanded with four commands: to record his provision, deeds, lifespan, and whether he will be wretched or blessed.
The Direct Relationship Between Angels and Humans
From the time a person is born, the direct relationship with the angels begins, from the time the soul is breathed into him as a fetus, then through childhood. This relationship continues throughout his life. This relationship is most intense during times of hardship, especially on the Day of Death and the Day of Resurrection, followed by the Day of Judgment, after which he will either be in Paradise or Hell. This relationship continues throughout life. When a person goes to the mosque to pray, an angel beside him says, "O God, forgive him, O God, protect him," and does not leave him until he departs. And when he spends something from what God has given him for the sake of God, an angel on behalf of God says, "O God, give the one who spends something in return." And so on whenever he intends to perform an act of obedience seeking God's pleasure.
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When God, the Blessed and Exalted, loves a servant, He calls out to Gabriel, 'God loves so-and-so, so love him.' Gabriel then calls out to the heavens, 'God loves so-and-so, so love him.' The inhabitants of heaven love him, and acceptance is established for him on earth."
The relationship between man and the angels continues until the end. When a person is dying, the Angel of Provisions comes to him and says, "I searched for a livelihood for you, and I found that you have fulfilled the provisions allotted for you." He then ceases eating and drinking, and the Angel of Breaths comes to him and says, "I searched for a breath for you, and I found that you have fulfilled all the breaths allotted for you." He stops breathing, meaning he dies. The Angel of Death then removes the soul, as God Almighty says: "Say, 'The Angel of Death, who is set over you, will take your souls. Then to your Lord you will be returned.'"
In the grave, it is narrated that an angel from God Almighty comes to a person and shows him his place in Heaven or Hell, at the end of the grave's questioning.
On the Day of Resurrection, he will emerge from his grave and find an angel on behalf of God who will take him and place him in the place God desires for him, or guide him to his appropriate stop. "And every soul will come with a driver and a witness."
Angels are among God Almighty's creations. They are His honored servants in creation and character. They are God Almighty's messengers and soldiers, carrying out the command He reveals to them, and His ambassadors to His prophets and messengers.
God Almighty said:
{الله يصطفي من الملائكة رسلًا ومن الناس} [النور: 11]. {إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ}.
{Allah chooses from the angels messengers and from among mankind. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Seeing.}
They do not disobey Allah in what He commands them.
{ويفعلون ما يؤمرون}.
{And they do what they are commanded.}
Belief in the angels is one of the pillars of faith, as mentioned in the hadith narrated by Muslim in his Sahih. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about faith, he said: (To believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and destiny, both the good and the bad of it.)
