1- Who will guard against the trials of the end times?
15352 Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Az-Zuhri, on the authority of Urwah, on the authority of Kurz ibn Alqamah Al-Khuza’i, who said: A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, will Islam have an end?” He said, “Any household.” And in another place, he said, “Yes, any household, Arab or non-Arab, for whom Allah intends good, He will bring Islam into it.” He said, “Then what?” He said, “Then trials will occur like shadows.” He said, “No, by Allah, if Allah wills.” He said, “Yes, by Him in Whose Hand is my soul, then you will return to them as black snakes, striking one another’s necks.” And Sufyan recited to me, Az-Zuhri said, “A black snake.” Sufyan said, “The black snake rises up.
A Glimpse into the Hadith
"Asawd" is the plural of "Sawad." "Saba" means to yearn for or long for someone.
This hadith indicates that life is not always calm and peaceful. After a period of tranquility, a storm always follows, testing everything that was peaceful. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) describes a good thing that will come to Muslims at the end of time: the conversion of non-Arabs to Islam. Then, after this, there will be trials like the darkest night. Muslims themselves will become like snakes, rising up against everything in their path and then pouncing on it like prey. This hadith, being a prophecy, tells us what will come next, and it indicates that Muslims will turn against one another. This is what has happened, as is happening between Sunnis and Shiites, and even among Sunnis themselves, and among Shiites themselves. There is no power or strength except with God. We have no choice but to submit to God's decree concerning His servants. Let us remember that all people are doomed except those who adhere to the path of the Prophet and his companions. Very few Muslims adhere to this path except by the mercy of God, the Highest, the Almighty.
If you wish to be among the best of people, then stay away from temptations as much as you can. For temptation lies dormant and may God curse the one who awakens it. Do not be the one to awaken it.
2- The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others.
On the authority of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allah, which of the people are most beloved to Allah? And which of the deeds are most beloved to Allah?” He said: “The most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others, relieving them of distress, paying off their debts, or feeding them when they are hungry. And for me to walk with my brother in need is more beloved to me than to seclude myself in worship during this time.” The Mosque - The Prophet's Mosque - for a Month
A Glimpse into the Hadith
Ask ordinary Muslims, even those with few exceptions, how they wish to die. They will say: On their prayer mat, or in the Prophet's Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him), to receive great rewards to present to God. Then ask the devout believers the same question, and they will answer: The manner of death is irrelevant, as long as it pleases God Almighty. For example, Imam al-Maraghi (may God have mercy on him) died while enjoining good and forbidding evil to King Farouk. The king reacted strongly and died. He died embodying the best of this nation, a truly unfamiliar path. My point is this: The most beloved of people are those who are most beneficial to others.
He relieves their distress
And how numerous are the distresses of our time! Some are afflicted with health problems, others with financial hardship, and still others need neither. What they need is a kind word to soothe the injustice, oppression, or other hardships they endure. Are we truly acting upon this? Even just once? The truth is: we, as Muslims, praise be to God, possess goodness, even if it is little for some and much for others.
Or pay off his debt
An integral part of our religion is Zakat, and among the basic items of Zakat (those in debt) is that we pay off their debt, but in which of these debts was it most important? There are Muslims who wrong themselves by borrowing not for the most essential things in life—survival, food, and drink—but rather for their son's wedding. Instead of buying three sets of bed linen, they buy six or even twelve, just to avoid embarrassment in front of the groom's family. This is merely an outdated tradition that has no basis in Islam. But there are also people who have fallen into the modern form of slavery through debt. They work in Arab countries, for example, and have families far away. When their families ask for things, they send all their money, borrowing from their sponsors to the point where they can't repay the debt. The sponsor then demands they work for him without pay until the debt is settled, a process that can take years. We, as Muslims, are oblivious to the suffering of these Muslims, separated from their families and loved ones simply because of debt. This is a form of modern slavery. I personally saw a video of a generous young Arab man who went to an African prison and dug a well for the Muslims there. He got one of them released (as a fine), and the man asked him, "What?" I will work for you, sir. But the generous young man replies, "I am not your master, and you will not do anything for me. It is for God Almighty, as this is a matter of our religion. Tell me more about Islam, please, and end this uninteresting conversation with one deed I can understand.
Or, to alleviate his hunger
Do you know how many famines there were at the end of 1646 AH, sir? To the best of our limited knowledge, there were eight major famines and others smaller ones here and there. These include, but are not limited to, (the Congo: the largest famine in modern history - Sudan, not South Sudan - Palestine - North Korea - Somalia... and others, of course). Feeding the poor during a famine is like "feeding on a day of severe hunger." Don't tell me you feed those in your own country; that's a moral obligation. Do it during a famine, even just once, so that you don't lose face before the Almighty on the Day you and we meet Him, as an excuse to your Lord.
Walking with your brother in his time of need—what is this? He doesn't want your money, he doesn't want your sympathy. He wants and expects your influence—your power—your ability to fulfill a worldly need that requires authority, which he lacks. Imagine that this act, which costs you nothing but stepping out of your comfort zone for a moment, yet is everything to him, is better than spending a month in seclusion in the Prophet's Mosque. Walking with your brother to fulfill his need is equivalent to a month's worth of reward for prayer and seclusion in the Prophet's Mosque. Welcome to practical Islam. As for your theorizing about Islam, keep it in your home and between you and your private relationship with God Almighty.
So, if you want to be among the best of people, all you have to do is set aside the lofty slogans from the Quran and Sunnah and descend from your ivory tower to serve your Muslim brother once and your fellow human being another time. This is Islam, this is practical Islam, this is what God Almighty looks for if you seek His pleasure.
3- The weak and oppressed whose supplications are answered
"Shall I not tell you about the best of God's servants? The weak and oppressed, the one with two worn garments. If he were to swear by God, God would fulfill his oath."
On the authority of Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may God be pleased with him), who said:
"God only grants victory to this nation through its weak, through their supplications, their prayers, and their sincerity." Narrated by An-Nasa'i
A Glimpse into the Noble Hadith
Have you noticed that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) was given the choice between being a king-prophet or a servant-messenger, and he chose to be a servant-messenger? Among his noble supplications (peace and blessings be upon him) was: "O God, gather me with the poor." Why? If we were given a choice between this and that, we would all choose kingship, protection, money, power, etc. God Almighty, by Himself, grants victory to the entire nation through the weak, but on the conditions of "sincerity - supplication - prayer." Is there a person who is sincere to God Almighty and does not pray or supplicate? In most cases, they are intertwined. The most important thing is that the weak do not love women and have nothing to lose, and whoever has nothing to fear losing is most likely sincere to God Almighty. Why? Look around you: Whoever fears losing his security authority, for example, fears being known as religious, and whoever fears, on the contrary, losing his religious status, or even his job or marriage. And so on, with all the demands of this world, he shows off before the group of religious people to get what he wants. This is not sincerity, but rather sincerity, not for God, but for the idea that has taken root in his mind, which he wants to attain. May God Almighty protect us from this by His grace. As for these weak ones of the nation, you may find one who has memorized the Quran by heart, or perhaps he hasn't memorized it but acts upon it as if he were like the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, a walking embodiment of the Quran. And God Almighty willed that this religion be followed by the weak, the needy, and those like them, and the rich come in succession because of the patience of these forgotten elite. And look around you: Did the search for Islam increase except after a great crisis for Muslims that transformed them from ordinary Muslims into the oppressed through their steadfastness, supplication, and sincerity to God Almighty? This is the patience that amazes the disbelievers, who, if one of them gets a scratch on his hand, cry out, "Why did this happen to me? This is a bad day!" Patience is not only the key to relief, but also the key to hearts preoccupied with this world and unable to understand anything beyond it. Therefore, God Almighty does not look at our appearances, our clothes, or our eloquent speech, but He looks at our Our hearts and our deeds—this is the essence of God's judgment of us.
If you wish to be among the best of people
know with certainty that it is these vulnerable ones who will truly support the entire Muslim community—not those who are well-groomed, adorned, or perfumed with the finest fragrances, but something else entirely, something that resides in the heart. If you desire to be among the best, be kind to the vulnerable wherever they may be, for this is the measure of your virtue and the measure of your true faith.
4- Those Who Enjoin Good and Forbid Evil
Allah Almighty says:
“You are the best nation produced for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.” [Al Imran: 110] Allah Almighty praises this nation and informs us that it is the best nation that Allah has brought forth for mankind. This is because they perfected themselves through faith, which necessitates fulfilling all that Allah has commanded, and because they perfected others by enjoining good and forbidding evil. This includes calling people to Allah, striving in this cause, and exerting all possible effort to turn them away from their misguidance, error, and disobedience. Thus, they are the best nation brought forth for mankind.
A Reflection on the Noble Verse
I hear you saying, "I'm not good at speaking, and I don't know how to impress people with eloquent words like poetry and prose." The truth is, you don't need such things. You don't need to reach people through pulpits, large microphones, or even social media. The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Convey from me, even if it is a single verse." And perhaps the one who conveys it will be more knowledgeable than the one who conveys it. Conveying is one thing, and understanding is something else entirely. So, if you convey it to your young son, your nephew, your relative, or even someone who doesn't want to hear it, and you create a picture, a short film, or anything that attracts the attention of people who are not fond of this religion, and you attract them, then you have acted upon the advice of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him. The nation of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, will not be deprived of good, so don't deprive yourself of the field you are in. You know better than we do how to convey your idea, or rather, the idea of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him.
If you want to be among the best of people, then all you have to do is spread the word of God, or improve your morals to be a beacon, or do good to someone even if they are not Muslim, for you have spread the word of Islam, or excel in your work, whether by drawing mind maps, making a short film, or anything that allows you to convey your idea. Do not deprive yourself of this favor.
5 - The Best of People: The Early Generations of Islam
In the two Sahihs (Bukhari and Muslim): On the authority of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), on the authority of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: “The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Then there will come after them a people who will give testimony without being asked, who will betray trusts and not be trusted, who will make vows and not fulfill them, and obesity will become prevalent among them.
A Glimpse into the Hadith
Only three centuries, or the first three hundred years of Islamic history. Don't you remember: we are only in the fourth century, meaning only 146 years have passed since this period of excellence? And if another 200 or 400 years pass, what will happen to humanity and what will happen to Muslims? And what did the Messenger of God say after this goodness? Read with me:
A people who bear witness without being asked to do so. No one asked them to bear witness, and although the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, has a hadith that says the best witnesses before God are those who give their testimony for all people without being asked, but only in truth, if your testimony is false, why throw yourself into the river of torment (the torment of God, the Blessed and Exalted)? Just remember, whoever intercedes with an evil intercession will have a share of it, a share, my brother. And you and your testimony, if it is great, your share of it will be great, and the opposite is also true. As it is said, "O God, give to every sower what he has sown."
And they betray and are not to be trusted. In the end times, the trustworthy will be pointed at with pride. There is a trustworthy person in such-and-such neighborhood. Are you that trustworthy person? Or are you the opposite (the traitor), betraying your work partner, your life partner, your spouse? Or are you betraying God, His Messenger, and all the believers? May God protect you and us.
They make vows but do not fulfill them
Indeed, the covenant with God is a responsibility. If you are among those who cannot fulfill a vow, then do not make a vow, neither to people nor specifically to God.
And obesity appears among them
Is this a description of their condition? Or are obese people inherently obese? Are they lovers of food, lovers of this world? Or what do you mean, O Messenger of God? O God, conceal our sins in what remains.
So, if you wish to be among the best of people
then follow the example of our forefathers. As it is said: If you wish to know what is to come, then look at what has passed, for things are similar
6 - The Quran Teacher Who Acts Upon It
Allah Almighty says:
“And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, ‘Indeed, I am of the Muslims’?” [Fussilat: 33]
In the authentic hadith narrated by Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” In another narration: “The most excellent of you
A Glimpse into the Noble Hadith
The best of people are those who learn the Quran and teach it. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say, “Those who memorize the Quran and teach it.” What does this mean? This means that memorization is not the entirety of learning. One can learn grammar, morphology, and prose from the Quran. One can even learn geography, such as the Dead Sea mentioned in Surah Ar-Rum, or the expansion of the earth. One can learn arithmetic, such as the atomic number of iron. One can learn physics through the scientific miracles found in mountains and the number of heavens, and so on. This is in addition to interpretation, exegesis, and the meanings of the Holy Quran, and other aspects, of course.
So, if you wish to be among the best of people, learn any branch of knowledge connected to the Quran and teach it to others, and you will be among the best of people.
7- The one who strives with his wealth and his life
When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: “Who is the best of people?” he replied: “A believer who strives in the way of Allah with his life and his wealth.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari)
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“There are three whom Allah loves: the man who encounters the enemy in his army and stands ready to fight them until he is killed or his companions are victorious…” (Sahih - narrated by Ahmad)
A Glimpse into the Hadiths of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
The Jihad, the word that terrifies the West and puts security forces in the East on high alert. It is an honor in our religion, and what an honor it is! It is not limited to one type (combat jihad), although that is the highest form of jihad, but includes approximately 21 types, including the jihad of women, in which men participate, such as Hajj, Umrah, education, and learning, among others. I will attach a link to information about the types of jihad that are equivalent to combat jihad in reward. You are aware that a good deed is multiplied tenfold in Islam, while jihad is multiplied seven hundredfold, and God increases it further for whomever He wills, according to sincerity and acceptance. You spend your wealth in support of the truth, and you yourself strive in jihad; this is no small matter in the sight of God Almighty.
If you wish to be among the best of people, choose for yourself a field of jihad and policing (in the path of God) and dedicate yourself to it.
8 - The best of them in repaying debts
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The best of you are those who are best in repaying debts.” In another narration: “Give to him, for among the best of people are those who are best in repaying debts.
A glimpse into the noble hadith
Money is sweet and green. Whoever takes it with a contented heart, then giving and withholding are equal. But whoever takes it with greed, avarice, and a feeling that it is booty will not be able to repay if he borrows with kindness. So what is kindness in repaying a debt? It is giving the debtor compensation for the period during which his money was withheld from him, not as interest, but as a favor. This is not an obligation, but a favor. And God knows best.
So, if you wish to be among the best of people, if you borrow money, hasten to repay it on time so that you do not find it burdensome to give people their money. Otherwise, you will be among those who try to destroy people's money, and God will destroy it for you. We ask God for protection.
9 - The one from whom good is expected and from whose evil one is safe
On the authority of Abu Hurairah: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood before some people sitting and said, ‘Shall I not tell you who is the best among you and who is the worst?’ They remained silent. He repeated this three times. Then a man said, ‘Yes, O Messenger of Allah, tell us who is the best among us and who is the worst.’ He said, ‘The best among you is the one from whom good is expected and from whose evil one is safe, and the worst among you is the one from whom no good is expected and from whose evil one is safe.
A Glimpse into the Noble Hadith
For people to deal with you feeling secure in their wealth, honor, and possessions, and not to be betrayed or harmed by you, you are among the best of people in the sight of Allah. But why? This is how it should be, and all Muslims should be like this. No, sir, life has taught us that not all Muslims are like this. Rather, we have seen, heard, and learned things we never imagined, even from Muslims themselves.
10 - The best of people are those who are best to their families
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The best of you are those who are best to their families, and I am…” The best of you are those who are kind to their families.
A glimpse into the Hadith
People outside their homes wear masks: a mask of gratitude to God for His blessings while feeling deprived, a mask of joy so no one gloats, and so on. Then they return home and remove all masks completely. They shed all pretense and masks, even shedding some of their clothing, remaining true to their nature. If this nature is good, the family will be the first to see it. If it is otherwise, the family is the most deserving of knowing. The truthful and trustworthy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the truth.
So, if you want to be among the best of people, simply cultivate a cheerful countenance, good character, and kind treatment of your family.
11- Feeding the hungry and returning greetings: Imam Ahmad narrated on the authority of Suhaib al-Rumi (may God be pleased with him) that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: “The best of you are those who feed the hungry and return greetings.
A glimpse into the Hadith
Food is among the most precious forms of spending in people's lives. In everyone's life, whoever has a lot of money eats the finest foods, and whoever has little money is envious, but if money comes into his hands, he eats the finest foods according to his means. The point is: the best money is for feeding the hungry, as it satisfies hunger, purifies money from envy, and is a form of honoring. If it contains something sweet to the taste, it is charity. As for returning the greeting, it is a confirmed Sunnah, and it is said that the greeting or returning the greeting is a way of protecting yourself from the evil of the one in front of you, and God knows best.
10 - The best of people are those who are best to their families.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The best of you are those who are best to their families, and I am the best of you to my family.”
A glimpse into this noble hadith

Then they return home and remove all masks completely. They shed all pretense and masks, even shedding some of their clothing, remaining true to their nature. The truthful and trustworthy one (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the truth.

11- Feeding the hungry and returning greetings
Imam Ahmad narrated on the authority of Suhaib al-Rumi (may God be pleased with him) that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The best among you are those who feed the hungry and return greetings.
A glimpse into the noble hadith
Food is among the most precious forms of spending in people's lives. Those with abundant wealth eat the finest foods, while those with little are often envious. However, if wealth comes their way, they will eat the best foods according to their means. The point is that the best wealth is that given in charity, as it satisfies hunger, purifies one's wealth from envy, and is a form of generosity. Even if it contains something sweet, it is considered charity. As for returning greetings, it is a confirmed Sunnah, and it is said that greeting or returning a greeting is a way of protecting oneself from the harm of the person in front of you. And God knows best
12- Straightening the rows in prayer
In the Sunan, on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may God be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The best of you are those who are most gentle in their shoulders during prayer.”
A glimpse into the noble hadith
This is an example of humility. You are gentle with someone of humble appearance, even though you are someone of considerable stature. This is a form of humility, not just towards the person before whom you are gentle, but rather humility towards the One before whose greatness you stand, in His house. Can anyone be arrogant towards you in your own home? Impossible. Likewise, mosques are the houses of God, and arrogance has no place here.
13 - The One Who Grows Old in Islam
At-Tirmidhi narrated on the authority of Abdullah ibn Busr (may Allah be pleased with him): “An Arab said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, who is the best of people?’ He said: ‘The one whose life is long and whose deeds are good.
A Glimpse into the Hadith
O Allah, grant us a long life with good deeds and in good health. This is the ultimate happiness. May Allah grant you and us this blessing through His grace, not through His justice.
14 - The Familiarity
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The believer is friendly and makes others feel at ease. There is no good in one who is neither friendly nor makes others feel at ease. The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others.
A Glimpse into the Hadith
Familiarity is a type of good interaction. To be loved and to be familiar with people, even if it is the first time they have seen you, is a blessing from Allah. However, it is acquired, not a gift from Allah. Therefore, one must work on oneself, just as one must work on the skills one wants to learn to increase one's employability.
15 - The Best Companion is to His Companion, and the Best Neighbor is to His Neighbor
From the hadith of Abdullah ibn Amr (may God be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The best of companions in the sight of God is the one who is best to his companion, and the best of neighbors in the sight of God is the one who is best to his neighbor.”
A Glimpse into the Hadith
It doesn't matter how much you give or the gifts exchanged on different occasions. What matters is that you treat your friend as you treat your own family. The best of you is the one who is best to his companion, and that's the end of it. The best of neighbors is the one who is best to his neighbor. It's not important that you share a portion of your stew with him, but rather that he feels safe from your harm and hopes for your kindness in times of hardship or in times of prosperity. But the question here is: among the many types of relationships in life, the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) chose the friend and the neighbor. Is there a reason for this? Yes, there is a reason, perhaps it is that a companion and a neighbor are aware of things that others are not. Hence the saying, “The neighbor comes before the house.” And it is said in the hadith: “Gabriel kept urging me to be kind to my neighbor until I thought he would make him an heir.” It is truly amazing and profound that our religion would be if it were applied in practice, but we enjoy it in theory, to a great extent. Enjoyment and our true religion, and falsehood is what we see in reality from some Muslims.
16 - Truthful of tongue, whose heart is free from deceit and envy towards anyone
In the hadith narrated by Abdullah bin Amr, may God be pleased with them both, he said: “It was said to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him: ‘Who are the best of people?’ He said: ‘Everyone who is pure of heart and truthful of tongue.’ They said: ‘We know what truthful of tongue means, but what does pure of heart mean?’ He said: ‘It is the pious and pure one, in whom there is no sin, no transgression, no malice, and no envy.’”
A glimpse into the noble hadith
The truthful of tongue
On the pattern of “fa’ul,” meaning one who is very truthful, a way of life, not a fleeting phase of conversion where one first embraces the religion and then abandons it. No, no, rather it is a way of life. And in the hadith, “and seeks the truth,” its meaning and place is as if he conducts investigations into the word in his mind and heart before uttering it, whether it is for God or for personal desires and self-interest.
Sound of heart
No deceit, no transgression, no malice, and no envy: Is it Is there anyone like this in your vicinity? If you find him, seize him and place him in a nature reserve for the nearly extinct human, and thank God that He has blessed you with this great gift, so be among the grateful.
